Artist Troubles

I'm a perfectionist. And In my opinion thats the worst thing to be when you're an artist. There is always something you can change about a peice and it will never be "perfect". So yeah, I have some serious problems to get past when it comes to art. I had a good conversation with another artist in my class about the mentality behind art and he suggested that I should learn to be ok with just creating something, not anything good, but something. I like art (at times), just as I like to program (at times). However when somthing doesn't go quite right, or in ths case, the art isn't up to my standard, I no longer like the process.Needless to say, that happens most of the time, but the feeling I get when things go right, or when I'm in the process without being frustrated, keeps me making games. So, I took their advice and sat down to draw something, anything. Nothing for critique, nothing for a game, just something. Its been a rough week and this was the perfect thing to do. I didnt look at the art much, I just kept drawing. Here's what I came up with:
