Gardening Simulator


For a two week Game Jam (Feb 26-March 11 2024) I, along with two artists (Ender Rayne, Nash Watkins) and another programmer (Vitalii Palisa) , made a Gardening Simulator. The Prompt for this Game scam was the idea to make something that was not a game using game-making technology (a not-a-game jam). I decided to go for the informational abilities games can have and make a simulator instead of a game. Knowing this, I set up a pitch and gathered a team. In Garden Simulator you have the ability to grow sell, and learn about plants. My main focus was on the code for the growing of the plants and their movement, to do this I needed to make many variables and learn about timer nodes. While making the different flower actors I also learned a lot about child and parent actors as well. The first packaged project is for Mac and the second is out final project which I had to push from home with a Windows PC
