January 7-9

This week, my team and I have been having meetings in order to understand what we should focus on in the project and what to do to stay productive. I have been working on creating and fixing up many assets in the game for the completion of the tutorial level and first playable.


Geometry-

When making the environment assets for the tutorial level, I needed to keep perspective and camera position in mind. Due to the isometric view of the game, when making assets, I needed to use the technique of foreshortening which makes object that are further away from the vantage point smaller. For example, While I made the bed for the bedroom environment, I needed to make the top of the bed look a little smaller than the bottom of the bed, because the angle was not too steep, I did not make the base of the bed get thinner towards the top, but made the pillows look a bit smaller.


Numbers-

As my team and I created a list of changes that needed to be made to the game, we organized it systematically by both who was going to make the changes and how high priority they were. To organize priority, we evaluated each task based on specific criteria like urgency, importance, or deadlines. I this way we knew what items and changes to work on first and how long we should work on them in order to ready our game tutorial for the end of next week.
