Week of February 3-6

Updated: Feb 12

This weekend I attended creative Jam at warren tech. It is a creative competition where teams make a creation within 44 hours with a random prompt and a team. This year's prompt was "run" and me and my team of three made two artistic projects. One of them was a modern art piece with runny noses, and another was a watercolor painting with a character running away from lines of running UV resin.

Geometry-

One of out frist ideas to make for out creative priject was a portrait painting with a sickly looking person as the subject. After we had taken and prepared the reference photo, I began to sketch out the face. In order to get the propotions as close to the reference as possible I utilized grid lines to correctly place shapes. In short, I drew a grid on the canvas using a ruler, and then drew that same grid over my reference photo. By looking at the placement features on the grid, I was able to translate the photo onto the canvas.

Data and Statistics-

Whole making ground and wall tile sets for the game, I need to ensure the seamless repetition of tiles by keeping consistent spacing and alignment. This process of tiling and pattern design typically includes the pasting of tiles next to eachother and fixing the inconsistencies in the tiles many times before it is put into the game.
