Week of January 27-30

This week I have focused on finishing up the grass and dirt assets for the rainforest level. I watched a very helpful turorial that showed me how to convey a 3d relationship with pixel art. To do this I needed to use a layering of darker to lighter colors with slight changes in hue. I also needed to pay close attention to how I positioned the grass on the tile map so that the tiles could come together seamlessly.


Geometry-

To make the tiles transition well, I needed to make translations and transformations to the tiles. In the program, I would copy the tiled next to each other on all sides and make edits to the work so they matched well.


Statistics and Probability-

To have a good amount of variety in the map, I needed to make different iterations of the same tile to be used in the map. In this way, When the tiles were added into the map, it would be less likely to see a pattern and reused assets.
